REIMPOSITION OF TOURISM TAX ON FOREIGN TOURISTS

Effective from 1 January 2023, foreign tourists staying at registered accommodation premises in Malaysia are subject to pay a Tourism Tax of RM10 per room per night. The reimposition of Tourism Tax on foreign tourist is mandatory and regulated by the Ministry of Finance Malaysia and the Royal Malaysian Customs Department.

Deepavali Contribution to Pertubuhan Kebajikan Thangam Illam by ANSA Hotel Kuala Lumpur
October 2022

Kuala Lumpur, October 2022 - ANSA Hotel Kuala Lumpur strongly believe in giving back to the community and creating awareness to the public. It is one of our duties to care and give back through our company core values which are held throughout the year. As hotel business has slowly regain back to normal on the post-pandemic, the intrinsic value of our service and guest satisfaction will continue to expand through our Corporate Social Value (CSV) programme.

Recently in October, in conjunction of the Festival of Lights, members of the hotel paid a visit to the orphanage home of Pertubuhan Kebajikan Thangam Illam as part of the hotel’s Corporate Social Responsibility effort. There were 40 less fortunate children and folks live in which located at Pandan Indah, Kuala Lumpur. The CSR event consist of donating on groceries supplies and also distributing mealpacks for the house members.

The program started at 11am with a welcome speech given by the caretaker of charity home and celebrated by the kids and folks from the home. Followed by the hotel members distributing the mealpacks and handover of essential groceries. It was a lovely day as the ANSA Hotel team sat down with the children for a delicious lunch and conversation. The program ended with a group photo of ANSA Hotel KL team and the charity home members. The one-day event has put a smile on the faces of these 32 children and 8 elderlies. We hope with these donations and effort will help to ease their burden and bring much joy to the occupants of the charity home.
